Myles Gonangnan / Aaron Paneok Memorial Hall

The Myles Gonangnan/Aaron Paneok Memorial Hall is a cornerstone of the Unalakleet community, serving multiple important functions throughout the year.

About the Hall

The Memorial Hall is home to the Elders' Lunch Program, where meals are prepared and served for elders who attend. It is also where NVU hosts bingo and pull tabs gaming events on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.

The Alaska State Troopers station is also located at the Memorial Hall.

The beautiful sign outside was painted by local artist Gary Eckenweiler. The wonderful painting inside was created by local artist Cassandra Johnson.

Funeral Potlucks

The Memorial Hall is available for funeral potlucks at no charge. Please contact the NVU office to reserve the hall.

Rentals & Events

The hall is available for rent for various community events. Past events have included Fish and Game meetings, Bering Straits Native Corporation meetings, and the NVU Annual Meeting.
